Mame

I'd not met the folk from Epsom Light Opera Company before, but not only were they all very friendly but also incredibly talented and versatile too. The director, James Fortune, was quite right - "the story simply flows", but as I was to find out it does so just as a swan "simply swims" - but is frenetic below the surface. So too, it must have been here. What I saw was very polished for a dress rehearsal, but behind the scenes it too must have been hectic with so many and varied custom changes. A delightful evening and I wish them all the very best for the coming 5 nights at Epsom Playhouse.
